About the Company
Mobster Lobster is a one man company. In fact, I'm not really a company at all, I'm just a guy with a name for my business and a domain name to match. I started in July 2009 and built this website to promote and support my efforts in developing applications for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
About the Developer
My name is William Warby. I'm 32 and I'm employed full-time as a web developer in for a local government organisation in London, UK. I develop applications for the iPhone and iPod Touch in my spare time on evenings and weekends. My other main interest is photography:
I've been developing software for about 8 years but I only recently started programming Objective-C for the iPhone in June 2009 after a failed attempt the previous year to learn the language on a compressed timescale and get in on the gold rush at the launch of iPhone OS 2.0. At the time Apple had a non-disclosure agreement in place which prevented any books, forums or other helpful resources on iPhone development from coming into being, and the task of learning the platform seemed impossible. It turns out it wasn't so hard.
Site Design
I dabble in graphic design but I know my limits. This site is my own design except for the lobster which is a stock image created by graphic artist Brad Fitzpatrick. It is copyrighted, so please don't steal it. Admittedly he's not wearing a pin striped suit or smoking a cigar or doing anything particularly mobster-like yet but when I start earning money from my iPhone apps I plan on commissioning a custom logo.
